Kathmandu, Nepal, February 6, 2023: European Commissioner for International Partnerships Jutta Urpilainen is arriving here in Kathmandu on February 8 for one-day official visit to Nepal.
According to an official at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, she is scheduled to hold bilateral discussions with Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Foreign Minister Bimala Rai Poudel and among others.
She is also scheduled to launch a €50 million EU support to Nepal’s new education sector and visit the Human Milk Bank at the Paropakar Maternity and Women’s hospital at Thapathali, Kathmandu.
Similarly, Commissioner Urpilainen is also going to launch the Team Europe Initiative on Green Recovery with the ambassadors of the EU Member States resident in Nepal (France, Finland & Germany), Government representatives, Development Partners, and private sector and civil society representatives.
