Kathmandu, Nepal: The Federal Alliance (FA) , an alliance of agitating Madhes based parties and indigenous group, has announced its third phase of protests program targeting to disrupt the second phase of local level elections scheduled for June 28.
The alliance announced stir against the second phase of local elections organizing a press conference in the capital Sunday.
According to the FA, an indefinite general strike will be imposed from June 24 and other program other protest program aimed at disrupting the second round of elections in all 43 districts will continue from June 12.
As per the published protest program, torch rally will be organized at all district headquarters one June 12 and other places of Madhes, Tharuhat, Limbuwan on June 13, 14, 15, and 16.
Similarly, the FA has also said that a baton rally will be organized on June 19 and obstructing election program and activities on June 20.
The FA has announced the protest program following the meeting between the government allies and the Rastriya Janata Party Nepal (RJPN) leaders, which was ended inconclusively after both the side remand adamant on their stand.
