Parsa, Nepal, June 15: A case has been registered against Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Chairman and former Deputy Prime Minister Rabi Lamichhane in Parsa district court on charges of misappropriating cooperative funds.
Lamichhane, who is currently kept in Bhairahawa jail, in connection with the Supreme Cooperative Fraud case of Rupandehi. Lamichhane has been accused of misappropriating Rs 57.4 million of fund saved by the depositors of the Sano Paila Cooperative. In the case, 29 different people, including Lamichhane, have been made as defendants of the case.
