Kathmandu, Nepal, January 17, 2022: Coronavirous infection tally of the country has advanced to 1,001,056 with five new cases recorded in the past 24 hours on Monday.
Meanwhile, recovery tally of the country has advanced to 989,011 with three discharged in the past 24 hours recovering the virus.
The death toll related to the coronavirus infection has advanced to 12,020 though no fatality was recorded in the past 24 hours.
There are currently 25 active cases of coronavirus infection across the country. However, there are no individuals in any quarantine facilities across Nepal.
According to the Ministry of Health and population (MoHP), a total of 972 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours. Of the total tests, 425 were PCR tests while 547 were antigen tests. The government has carried out a total of 5,997,734 PCR tests till date.
