Kathmandu, Nepal: With the end of the filing of nominations, five out of eight individuals have been elected to the National Assembly unopposed from Province 2.
All the members from Dalit, women and marginalized community were announced elected as they were not opposed by other candidates.
The elected National Assemby are Ramprit Paswan from Dalit, Brishesh Chandra Lal from marginalized, Pramila Devi Yadav, Mokta Yadav, and Shashikala Dahal from women.
It is said that the election will be held in the scheduled date for other members. The Election Commission (EC) has scheduled February 7 as the election date for the National Assembly.
As per the National Assembly Election schedule, the filing of nominations is concluded on Wednesday in all the seven provinces.
