Kathmandu, Nepal, July 14, 2019: It is confirmed that floods and landslides triggered by torrential rainfall in the last 24 hours claimed at least 43 people lives. 

According to the concerned authorities, 18 females and 25 males are confirmed dead in different parts of the country due to the torrential rainfall come from Thursday night.

24 people have still gone missing in the floods and landslides. According to the police reports, at least 20 have been injured.  The missing people are feared dead.  

Police reports have confirmed that five each killed in Lalitpur and Bhojpur, four killed in Makawanpur and three each died in Kathmandu, Kavrepalanchowk, Okhaldhunga and Khotang districts. 

Likewise, two each killed in Sindhuli, Jhapa and Dhading districts. Similalry, one each killed in Siraha, Dhanusha, Sunsari, Bara, Rautahat,  Parsa, Chitwan, Palpa, Ilam Ramechhap and Dolpa district.

Heavy rainfall since Thursday had hit more than 25 districts across the country.
