Kathmandu, Nepal: Former Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Neelkantha Uprety has been recommended as the ambassador of Nepal to India.
 
A cabinet meeting held on Monday decided to propose Uprety as ambassador to India. 

Likewise, the meeting has also decided to recommend former Nepali ambassador to Saudi Arabia Uday Raj Pandey as ambassador to Malaysia.

The nominees have to face the Parliamentary Hearing Committee, the parliamentary committee responsible to hear the nominees of the ambassadors and the office bearers of the constitutional bodies, before forwarding their names to the respective countries for an agremo.
