Kathmanud, Nepal: Om Bikram Rana and Hem Bahadur Gurung, former Inspector General of Nepal Police, have sent to the Dllibazar-based jail over Sudan scam.
Likewise, former AIG Deepak Singh Thangen and former DIG Deepak Kumar Shrestha have also sent to jail by the SC. The two had also surrendered to the SC over the scam.
The SC had on April 30al slapped two years jail sentence over the scam. A division bench of former Chief Justice Sushila Karki and Justice Bishwambhar Shrestha had issued the verdict finding that former IGPs Rana, Gurung and Ramesh Chanda Thakuri, and several other Nepal Police officials guilty of corruption in the scam.
