Kathmandu, Nepal, May 6, 2020: In a bid to curb the spread of corona virus (COVID-19) the government has on Wednesday decided to extend nationwide lockdown till May 18.

A Cabinet meeting held at the Prime Minister's Office in Baluwatar took a decision to this effect.

The meeting has also decided to suspend national and international flights and cross-border movement with the neighboring countries India and China till May 31.

The government had begun to enforce nationwide lockdown from March 24 with the aim to curb the spreading fear of corona virus.

However, the government has failed to curb the people's movement into the borders to India and Kathmandu Valley.
