Kathmandu, Nepal, August 24, 2021: Responding to the spreading of polio in Afghanistan, the government is going to administer polio vaccine to those who have returned from Afghanistan.
Minister of State for Health and Population Umesh Shrestha has said that the government has made plan to vaccinate polio vaccine to the Nepalese nationals returning from Afghanistan.
According to him, all those arriving from Afghanistan have been asked to go to the nearby vaccination center to receive polio vaccination.
Hundreds of Nepalese nationals have returned back in Nepal from Afghanistan after Taliban rebels took over the country.
