Kathmandu, Nepal, June 6, 2021: Hearing over the writ petition filed against the government’s decision to dissolve the parliament has begun after Supreme Court reconstituted the Constitutional Bench on the basis of seniority on Sunday.
Chief Justice Cholendra Shumsher Rana reconstituted the Constitutional Bench comprising Deepak Kumar Karki, Mira Khadka, Ishwor Khatiwada, and Ananda Mohan Bhattarai under his own leadership.
Hearing over the writ was stalled after Chief Justice Rana dissolved the Constitutional Bench. The bench earlier formed had dragged into controversies over the formation process.
