Kathmandu, Nepal, March 6, 2021: Nepali Congress President, Sher Bahadur Deuba, who is also the parliamentary party leader of the main opposition party, has made clear that he is not interested to be appointed again as the Prime Minister. 

Being the parliamentary party leader of the main opposition party there would be natural to via in the post of Prime Minister, but I am not in the race for a new Prime Minister, Deuba, who is also the fourth time Prime Minister of the country, said while inaugurating the 13th annual general meeting of BP Memorial Community Hospital I Kathmandu on Saturday. 

NC president Deuba has made the claim that his is not interested to via in the post of Prime Minister at the time when the breakaway faction led by Pushpa Kamal Dahal and Madhav Kumar Nepal of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) has been trying to topple the incumbent KP Oli led government in support of the NC.  

As the same function, NC senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel stressed the need for focusing on resolving the current political deadlock instead of joining in the government. NC General Secretary Dr. Shashanka Koirala central committee member Shekhar Koirala and others also spoke at the function highlighting the need of revitalization of the party.
