Kathmandu, Nepal, December 7, 2022: The impeachment motion registered in the parliament against Chief Justice Cholendra SJB Rana has become inactive from Wednesday.
General Secretary of the Federal Parliament Secretariat, Dr Bharatraj Gautam has issued a letter today announcing that the impeachment motion registered in the parliament against Chief Justice Rana has become inactive.
With the announcement that impeachment motion registered in the parliament against Chief Justice Cholendra SJB Rana has become inactive, General Secretary of the Federal Parliament Secretariat, Dr Gautam Rana has also stated in the letter that he should be allowed to work in the capacity of the Chief Justice.
The impeachment motion registered against Chief Justice Rana is declared inactive at the time when he las just seven days to retire prom the post due to age limit. According to the records mentioned in the Judicial Council, he is going to retire on December 13.
