Kathmandu, Nepal, June 10, 2020: Prime Minister K P Oli has reiterated his commitment to retrieve encroached upon Nepali land by India at Limpiyadhura, Kalapani and Lipulekh region that fall under Dracula district of Nepal.
Responding to the queries of lawmakers on Wednesday, Prime Minister Oli said reiterating his commitment to retrieve the encroached upon land.
India had built Kali temple and created an artificial Kali River to prove its claim on Kalapani region including Limpiyadhura, and Lipulekh, Prime Minister Oli said.
India has encroached Nepali territory by stationing its army personnel in the region, Prime Minister Oli said adding that encroached upon Nepali territory will be retrieved through diplomatic talks on the basis of historical facts and evidence.
Prime Minister Oli reiterated his commitment just a day after Nepal’s parliament unanimously endorsed a proposal to put a new political map that includes Limpiyadhura, Kalapani and Lipulekh region in Nepal's national emblem.
