Kathmandu, Nepal: Indian Ambassador to Nepal Ranjit Rae has claimed that India has never intervened on Nepal’s internal matter but provided support for every movements and economic activities in Nepal.
Speaking at a face-to-face program organized by the Reporter's Club in on the eve of the 68th Republic Day of India in Kathmandu on Wednesday, Indian ambassador to Nepal Rae also urged all not to term the India support as an interference to other’s internal matter.
India has provided support for every movement and economic activities in Nepal but the support India has given to Nepal is termed as the interference on Nepal’s internal matter, Ambassador Rae said adding that such a support should not be taken as interference.
India and Nepal shares not only political and historical relations but also cultural, economic and social at the people's level, Ambassador Rae said stressing the need for expanding the relations as main basis for economic development for both the countries.
‘India does not have any interest in Nepal's internal matter and the new constitution but just wish that all groups of Nepal should move ahead together,’ Ambassador Rae said hinting to the allegation that used to label to India.
India is blamed for backing some forces in Nepal particularly to the Madhes based parties to protest the newly promulgated constitution of Nepal.
During the function he also underlined the need of dialogue and consultations to make clear the misunderstandings between the neighboring countries.
There is no need to doubt that India always wants Nepal to have stability, peace and prosperity as chaos, instability and conflict in Nepal will have a direct impact on India due to the open border between the two countries, Ambassador Rae said.
Implementation of constitution is Nepal’s internal matter, India does not care how it gets ahead together by sorting out internal problems, Ambassador Rae said.
