Kathmandu, Nepal: Minister for Foreign Affairs of India, Sushma Swaraj has arrived in Kathmandu on Thursday for a two-day official visit.
She had landed at Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA) at 4 pm though her flight landing time was scheduled for 3:30 pm.
State Finance Minister Uday Shumsher Rana led Nepali team had reached at TIA to receive Swaraj.
Minister for Foreign Affairs of India Swaraj arrived here as a special emissary of Prime Minister Narendra Modi leading a three-member delegation to have discussions with Nepali leaders.
In the delegation, Bijaya Keshar Gokhle, External Affairs Secretary and Raveesh Kumar, Spokesperson of the Ministry, External Affairs of India are included.
In a brief talks with the media persons at TIA, Swaraj said that her recent visit to Nepal was just continuation of the visit to mention the cordial relationship between the two neighboring countries.
I have no any specific agendas rather than to meet friends in Nepal, Swaraj said while responding to the queries of the media persons.
It is said that she is scheduled to hold one-to-one meeting with President Bidya Devi Bhandari, Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, CPN UML Chairman KP Oli, CPN Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal and others.
It is believed that Indian Foreign Affairs Minister Swaraj’s visit to Nepal would have scheduled just to hold special meeting with CPN UML chair Oli as he is believed as the Prime Minister of to be formed government.
