Kathmandu, Nepal, 26 June, 2019: With the formation of the new government for the next term under the leadership of Narendra Modi, the government of India has reshuffled on its intelligence wing.

According to the media reports, Samant Goel has been appointed as the new chief of Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) and Arvind Kumar has been appointed as the Director of the Intelligence Bureau (IB).

It is said that the appointments to the top posts in the external and domestic intelligence agencies were made on the basis of the recommendation made by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet. Prime Minister Modi is the chairman of this committee.

It is said that both the IPS officers hold the rank of Director General. Both officers will take charge of their respective agencies on June 30.

As Nepal is the close neighbor of India, appointments in RAW and IB deserve meaning even in Nepal.
