Kathmandu, Nepal, September 23, 2025: Insurance claims hit-hard the insurance companies in Nepal, thanks to the recent devastation caused during the protests called by the Gen G group.
According to the latest data, insurance claims exceeding NPR22.25bn ($167.3m) for damages caused by arson and vandalism during the recent Gen G agitation.
The Nepal Insurance Authority (NEA), the regulatory insurance agency of Nepal, has stated that 14 non-life insurers and four micro non-life insurers have received a total of 2,478 claims amounting to over NPR22.25 billion.
