Kathandu, Nepal, March 1, 2020: A irate cadre of the ruling head Nepal Communist Party (NCP) hurled shoes on the executive chairperson of the party Pushpa Kamal Dahal at City Hall in the capital on Sunday.
The attacker has been identified as Ratan Tiruwa, 22, from Jumla district. It is also proved that Tiruwa is the son of a former Maoist combatant.
The incident took place when Dahal was coming back to his seat after delivering speech at the program organized to mark the 1st death anniversary of late leader Bharat Mohan Adhikari. The shoe attack had occurred at around 4 PM on Sunday afternoon.
