Kathmandu, Nepal: District Administrative Office (DAO), Kanchanpur has lifted the curfew imposed in Mahendranagar from Tuesday morning.

With the decision of the DAO, general people seem to have returned on their regular duties from early morning on Tuesday. The DAO decided to impose the indefinite curfew order since five days till further notice considering to the civil unrest.

The local people had been protesting demanding the arrest of actual culprit of Nirmala Panta’s murder. 9th grader13 year old Panta was murdered after rape about a month ago, but police have failed to book the actual culprit of the heinous crime. 

The demonstration launched by the locals was intensified after another 14 year old boy was killed in police firing while he had oined into the demonstration demanding the arrest of the culprit.
