Kathmandu, Nepal, June 16, 2022: CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal has accused the main opposition party CPN UML of spreading false and hypocritical propaganda on the name of nationalism.

Referring to the recent controversies riffed over the alleged plan of the government to sign in the Strategic Partnership Program (SPP) with the United States of America (USA), Dahal also accused the government led by UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli of making agreement for the SSP in 2019.

Speaking at a program organized to pay homage to late Rit Bahadur Khadka on his 21st Memorial Day organized at the party's central office in Paris Danda on Thursday, Dahal said ‘KP Oli-led government had signed the SPP agreement in 2019, which every Nepali needs to understand.’

During the function he also claimed that the SPP agreement would not be signed with the USA. ‘Nepal would not sign any military agreement like the SPP with the USA, he said the ‘Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has also promised not to sign the SSP.’
