Kathmandu, Nepal: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said that the government will announce date for local elections within this week.
 
‘Local polls will be held somewhere between May 8-13, Prime Minister Dahal, who is also the chairman of the CPN Maoist Center, said on Sunday while launching a book ‘Parliamentary Journalism’ published by Parliamentary Affairs Journalist Society.
 
Prime Minister Dahal made the revelation with tentative time to hold the local level elections in the mean time when he was criticized for delaying to announce the date for the local level elections.
  
During the function, he also claimed that election-related bill will be readied within Saturday.
 
As there is no alternative of holding elections to implement the constitution, the elections will be held through the consensus, he said.
