Rautahat, Nepal, May 29, 220: Jokaha, Ishanath Municipality-6 of the district remained tense after local clashed with police protesting the decision to transfer two coronavirus (COVID-19) patients from a local quarantine facility to an isolation ward set up at Garuda of the district on Friday.
As two persons kept at the Jokaha Madarsha tested positive for the coronavirus, the local authorities tried to transfer them to the isolation ward for the treatment purpose. The locals, however, protested the decision demanding treatment at the same quarantine.
During the scuffle, the locals vandalized the vehicles of the police after personnel tried to transfer the infected persons amid the protest.
