It is astonishing, however, that neither the meeting fixed the name of the taskforce members nor set the deadline to submit the report though there is pressure to the parties as well as the government to make clear about whether accepting the MCC project or not.
The US government has repeatedly been stating that it would not wait Nepal for a indefinite period adding that the project amount would be transformed into other countries if Nepal reject the project.

Though the ruling head Nepali Congress is firm on its stand to endorse the MCC from the parliament, the proposal is not forwarded yet in the parliament, thanks to the differences in ruling allies. Another ally of the incumbent government, CPN United Socialist is also hesitating to stand in favor of endorsing the MCC from the parliament.
According to Krishna Bahadur Mahara, the meeting also discussed over the ranges of contemporary political issues including the future elections for the local bodies, provincial assemblies and the House of Representatives (HoR).
