Kathmandu, Nepal, May 22, 2021: The medical support extended by the Government of the United States of America (USA) has arrived in Kathmandu.
The first phase of medial support that arrived in Kathmandu on Saturday includes surgical masks, faces shields and gloves other necessary materials.
According to the spokesperson for the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), Dr Jageshwar Gautam, the government of USA is also sending two additional cargo aircraft containing important medical supplies within few days.
The USA has extended the medial support in response to the government to fight against of the recent surge in COVI-19 cases in the country.
Earlier, the government of USA had also extended medial supports including 100 units of ventilators, COVID-19 testing facilities and equipment and many others.
