Kathmandu, Nepal, September 27, 2022: Founding leader of the Bibeksheel Sajha Party (BSP) Rabindra Mishra has resigned from even the general membership of the party to join in the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) led by Rajendra Lingden. However, he has not revealed his plan to join in the RPP.

Mishra submitted his resignation even as a general member of the party to Chairperson Samikshya Baskota on Monday. Earlier, he had resigned from the chairmanship of the party after the ‘shameful defeat’ of the party in the local level elections held on May 13, 2022.

I hereby inform you that I have resigned as a general member of the party with effect from today itself, Mishra states in the resignation letter submitted to Chair Baskota.

Reasoning for the resignation, he has mentioned of failing to change the party as per his wish. “You are aware that I have been effortful for creating political polarization in order to build a greater and trustworthy ‘moderate conservative nationalist force’ for the past one year. But that could not happen though the first step toward the effort has taken a concrete shape, Mishra has stated in the resignation letter.

He has also appealed to all individuals, groups and political parties to get united in order to create “a strong trustworthy moderate conservative force”.

There is a speculation that Mishra is going to join the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) likely on Wednesday. It is being reported that he is joining the RPP with senior vice Chairman portfolio.
