Kathmandu, Nepal, July 11, 2021: The much touted deal between the two rival factions of the ruling CPN UML-one led by party chairman KP Sharma Oli and another by senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal has turned away for a time being after latter disagreed to withdraw the signatures put demanding appointment of Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba as Prime Minister.
As senior leader Nepal rejected the proposal to withdraw the signatures, the supposed agreement planned for Saturday was averted. However, the leaders of the panel formed to dissolve the differences have been working to find the middle path solution.
It is said that Nepal has remand adamant not to withdraw signatures stating that any word in the draft of the agreement that may influence the court would not acceptable to him.
Likewise, his demand to grant him responsibility as co-chairman of the party has also emerged as contentious issue to settle the differences. It is said that party chairman Oli has also been denying to accept Nepal as cochairman with the with executive role.
