Kathmandu, Nepal, November15, 2022:The Nepali Congress (NC) has taken disciplinary action against five party leaders on the charge of non-cooperation with the party and its election candidates by fielding rebel candidates.


A meeting of the party’s Disciplinary Committee took action against Mangal Bahadur Sahi of Humla district and Dharmendra Prasad Yadav, Rabindra Prasad Yadav, Birendra Prasad Yadav, and Ram Ekwal Prasad Yadav (Silpu) of Bara district.

The party took the decision accusing them of running in the elections to the House of Representatives and the Province Assembly as rebel candidates against the candidates officially fielded by the party.

Earlier, on November 9, the NC had also taken action against Ram Kumar Rai, constituency President of Udayapur-2, who had filed a rebel candidacy, his proposer Leelaraj Danuwar and supporter Min Kumar Dahal, removing them from the party general membership.
