Pokhara, Nepal: 27-year-old Kusum Paudel of Pokhara Metropolitan City-22 has confessed the crime of raping and murdering 10-year-old Shreeya Sunar.
Drug addict Poudel, who have wife and two children, admitted the crime, DSP Rabindraman Gurung, who is also the spokesperson of the Kaski district Police, said.
According to police, he had dragged the minor to the nearby bush and raped her before strangling her to death.
Poudel had confessed before the police that he dumped her body and again pelted the body with stones to confirm that she was dead.
The third-grade student at Lila Adharbhut School had found dead on Tuesday morning though she was rape and murdered on previous day.
She had gone missing since she left for home from her school at 5:30 pm on Monday.
