Kathmandu, Nepal, October, 19, 2020: coronavirus infection tally of the country has advanced to 253,184 after 710 new cases recorded in the past 24 hours.
Of the total cases, 306 are females while 404 are males. According to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) of the newly infected cases, 281 surfaced in Kathmandu Valley alone.
Likewise, 1,175 people, who were earlier infected with the virus, have been discharged after recovery in the past 24 hours. With the addition, total recovery tally of the country has advanced to 242,567.
As of Saturday, there are currently 8,840 active cases across the country. Of them, 421 individuals are staying in various quarantine facilities across the country.
Meanwhile, death toll due to the infection of coronavirus has advanced to 1,777 after 12 more fatalities related to the virus reported in the past 24 hours.
