Kathmandu, Nepal, December 25, 2020: Coronavirus infection tally of the country has advanced to 257,200 after 608 new cases recorded in the past 24 hours.

Of the total newly recoded cases, 237 are females while 371 are males. According to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), of the newly infected cases, 279 surfaced in Kathmandu Valley alone.
 
Likewise, 892 people, who were earlier infected with the virus, have been discharged after recovery in the past 24 hours. With the addition, total recovery tally of the country has advanced to 248,292.

Meanwhile, death toll due to the infection of coronavirus has advanced to 1,816 after eight more fatalities related to the virus recorded in the past 24 hours.

There are currently 7,092 active cases across the country. Of them 369 individuals are staying in various quarantine facilities across the country.
