Kathmandu, Nepal, October 26, 2020: Coronavirus (COVID-19) infection tally of the country has advanced to 257,700 after 500 new cases reported in the past 24 hours.

Of the total newly infected cases, 213 are females while 287 are males. According to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), of the newly infected cases, 267 were reported in Kathmandu Valley alone.
 
Likewise, 840 people, who were earlier infected with the virus, have been discharged after recovery in the past 24 hours.  With the addition, total recovery tally of the country has advanced to 249,132.

Meanwhile, death toll due to the infection of coronavirus advanced to 1,819 after three more fatalities related to the infection of virus reported in the past 24 hours.

There are currently 6,749 active cases across the country. Of them, 369 individuals are staying in various quarantine facilities across the country, the MoHP has stated.
