Kathmandu, Nepal, January, 03, 2020: Coronavirus infection tally of the country has advanced to 261,859 after 419 new cases recorded in the past 24 hours.
Of the total newly infected cases, 175 are females while 246 are males. According to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), of the newly infected cases, 197 surfaced in Kathmandu valley alone.
Likewise, 637 people, who were earlier infected with the virus, have been discharged after recovery in the past 24 hours. With the addition, total recovery tally of the country has advanced to 254,494.
Meanwhile, death toll due to the infection of coronavirus has advanced to 1,878 after eight more fatalities related to the virus recorded in the past 24 hours.
There are currently 5,487 active cases across the country. Of them, 367 individuals are staying in various quarantine facilities across the country.
