Kathmandu, Nepal, January 13, 2020: coronavirus infection tally of the country has advanced to 266,143 after 445 new cases recorded in the past 24 hours. 

Of the total newly infected cases, 184 are females while 261 are males. According to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), Kathmandu valley alone recorded 246 cases in the past 24 hours.

Likewise, 414 people, who were earlier infected with the virus, have been discharged after recovery in the past 24 hours.  With the addition, total infection tally of the country has advanced to 259,772.

Meanwhile, death toll due to the infection of coronavirus advanced to 1,937 after five more fatalities related to the virus recorded in the past 24 hours.

There are currently 4,434 active cases across the country. Of them, only 237 individuals are staying in various quarantine facilities.
