Kathmandu, Nepal, January 24, 2020: coronavirus (COVID-19) infection tally of the country has advanced to 269,450 after 270 new cases reported in the past 24 hours.
According to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) of the newly infected 133 surfaced in Kathmandu valley alone. Kathmandu valley has been receiving high number of coronavirus infection cases since few months.
Likewise, 403 people, who were earlier infected with the virus, have been discharged after recovery in the past 24 hours. With the addition, total recovery tally of the country has advanced to 264,137.
Meanwhile, death toll due to the infection of coronavirus has advanced to 2,001 after seven more fatalities related to the virus reported in the past 24 hours.
There are currently 3,312 active cases across the country. Of them, only 145 individuals are staying in various quarantine facilities across Nepal.
