Kathmandu, Nepal, January 27, 2020: coronavirus (COVID-19) infection tally of the country has advanced to 270,375 after 283 new cases recorded in the past 24 hours. 

Of the total newly infected cases, 114 are females while 169 are males. According to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), Kathmandu valley alone witnessed 145 cases in the past 24 hours.

Likewise, 246 people, who were earlier infected with the virus, have been discharged after recovery.  With the addition, total recovery tally of the country has advanced to 265,069.

There are currently 3,286 active cases across the country. Among the newly infected cases, only 122 persons are staying in various quarantine facilities set of in different parts of the country.

Meanwhile, death toll due to the infection of coronavirus has advanced to 2,020 after three more fatalities related to the virus reported in the past 24 hours.
