Kathmandu, Nepal, January 31, 2020: coronavirus infection tally of the country has advanced to 270,959 after 105 new cases reported in the past 24 hours.
Of the total newly recorded infected cases, 41 are females while 64 are males, the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) said. According to the MoHP, of the total infected cases, 68 surfaced in Kathmandu Valley alone.
Likewise, 288 people, who were earlier infected with the virus, have been discharged after recovery. With the addition, total recovery tally of the country has advanced to 266,336.
Meanwhile, death toll due to the infection of coronavirus advanced to 2,029 after two more fatalities reported in the past 24 hours.
There are currently 2,594 active cases in the country. Of them, only 102 individuals are staying in various quarantine facilities across the country.
