Kathmandu, Nepal, February 15, 2021: coronavirus (COVID-19) infection tally of the country has advanced to 272,840 after 122 new cases recorded in the past 24 hours.
Of the total newly infected cases, 42 are females while 80 are males. According to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), of the newly recoded cases, 73 cases surfaced in Kathmandu valley alone.
Acceding to the Ministry, Kathmandu district alone witnessed 60 cases of coronavirus while Lalitpur and Bhaktapur districts recorded 10 and three new respectively in the past 24 hours.
Likewise, 144 people, who were earlier infected with the virus, have been discharged after recovery in the past 24 hours. With the addition, total recovery tally of the country has advanced to 269,204 that equivalent to 98.7 percent.
Meanwhile, death toll due to the infection of coronavirus advances to 2,055 after one fatality related to the virus recorded in the past 24 hours.
There are currently 1,581 active cases of coronavirus across the country. Of them, only 79 individuals are staying in various quarantine facilities across Nepal.
