Kathmandu, Nepal, November 6, 2020: Coronavirus (Covid-19) tally of the country has advanced to 240,981 after 1,096 new infection cases recorded in the past 24 hours. Of them, 408 are females while 688 are males.
According to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), of the newly infected cases 484 cases were surfaced in Kathmandu Valley alone. Of them 351 were from Kathmandu district while 74 in Lalitpur district and 59 in Bhaktapur district.
Likewise, 1,752 people, who were infected earlier with the virus, have been discharged after recovery in the past 24 hours. With the addition, total recovery tally of the country has advanced to 225,805.
There are currently 13,582 active cases in the country. Of them, only 536 persons have been staying in various quarantine facilities across country.
Meanwhile, death toll due to the infection of coronavirus has advanced to 1594 after seventeen more fatalities recorded in the past 24 hours.
1,096 new cases of coronavirus were confirmed while conducting 6,495 PCR tests in the last 24 hours, the MoHP has stated. So far, Nepal government has conducted 1,784,519 PCR tests till date.
