Kathmandu, Nepal, December 10, 2020: Coronavirus (COVID-19) infection tally of the country has reached to 245,650 after 1,217 new cases recorded in the past 24 hours.
Among the newly infected cases, 774 were males while 443 were females. According to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), 1217 new cases were diagnosed while conducting 7,232 real time PCR tests carried out in the past 24 hours.
Among the newly infected cases, 404 new cases were diagnosed in Kathmandu valley alone. With the addition, total infection tally of the valley has reached to 114,409. Kathmandu valley has become hotspot for the infection of coroanvirus since few months.
Likewise, 1064 people, who were infected earlier with the virus, have been discharged after recovery in the past 24 hours. With the addition, total recovery tally of the country has reached to 231,601.
Similarly, death toll due to the infection of coronavirus has reached to 1,663 after 12 more patients succumbed to this virus in the past 24 hours, the MoHP has stated.
