Kathmandu, Nepal, May 25, 2021: COVID-19 infection tally of Nepal has advanced to 528,848 after 8,387 new cases reported from across the country in the past 24 hours on Tuesday.

Likewise, death toll due to the infection of COVID-19 has advanced to 6,700 after 169 more deaths reported from across the country in the past 24 hours.

Similarly, 6,404 people, who were earlier infected with the deadly virus, have been discharged after getting recovery in the past 24 hours. With the addition, recovery tally of the country has advanced to 404,887.

There are currently 117, 261 active cases across the country. Of them, only 914 individuals are staying in various quarantine facilities across Nepal.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), 22,936 total tests were conducted in the last 24 hours. Of which 22,306 were PCR tests while 630 were antigen tests, the MoHP has stated.
