Kathmandu, Nepal, February 21, 2022: Nepal has defeated Canada by eight wickets at the ongoing ICC T20 World Cup Qualifiers played at Al Amerat Cricket Ground in Oman on Monday.
With the winning, Nepal has secured a place in the semi-finals of the Global Twenty20 Cricket World Cup qualifiers. Nepal has won all three Groups A matches. Earlier, Nepal had won over Oman by 36 runs and the Philippines by 136 runs.
Sandeep Lamichhane took three wickets giving away only 12 runs in his four-over bowling spell while Kamal Airee and Abinash Bohara took two wickets each. Lamichhane has been declared as the man of the match for his outstanding performance.
The winning of Nepal is highly applauded from different sectors. Different leaders including the Prime Minister and Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba and cricket lovers have congratulated the Nepalese cricket team of the winning.
