Kathmandu, Nepal: The government has on Thursday declared public holiday on November 2, to observe Indian President Pranab Mukherjee’s visit to Nepal.
 
A meeting of the Council of minister made the decision to that effect. 
 
Indian President Mukharjee is arriving in Nepal on Novernmeber-2 on a three-day state visit at the invitation of President Bidya Devi Bhandari.
 
However, the government decision has been dragged into controversies as people from different walks of life have criticized the government for unnecessarily declaring public holyday during the visit of foreigners.
