Kathmandu, Nepal: The Nepal government has urged the northern neighbor China for help to control gold smuggling.
Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa has made such an urge by meeting with the Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Yu Hong on Tuesday.
As gold is being smuggled to India from China using the Nepal route, Nepal government wants Chinese help to control the gold smuggling, minister Thapa had said during the meeting.
Responding to the concerns of the Home Minister Thapa, Chinese Ambassador Hong had said that she would inform the concerned authority in her country about the gold being smuggled through Chinese checkpoint, states the Ministry of Home Affairs (MoHA).
