Kathmandu, Nepal, September 20, 2022: Nepal has faced defeat at the hands of Bangladesh in the final of SAFF Women Championship by 1-3 goals on Monday.
In the championship final held at the Dasharath Stadium in Kathmandu on Monday evening, Bangladesh was leading Nepal by two goals in the first half.
Shamsunnahar of Bangladesh scored the first goal in the 14th minute of the match while Srimoti Sarkar hit the second goal in the 41th minute.
Anita Basnet of Nepal scored the single goal for Nepal in the 69th minute. Srimoti of Bangladesh scored the third goal for Bangladesh to take her team to the winning position in the 76th minute.
Nepal had reached in the final by winning India by 1-0 goal. Similarly, Bangladesh had entered in the final thrashing the Pakistan by 6-0 goals.
