Kathmandu, Nepal: This sounds like drama but happened really on Saturday that Nepal Police failed to find the ‘most wanted’ Former Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Nepal Police and newly-elected lawmaker Nawaraj Silwal even though he had entered in the Parliamentary building at New Baneshwor of Kathmandu on Saturday afternoon crossing the security checks in the entrances gate.
Nepal Police has still been claiming that it has been searching even listing Silwal in the most wanted list for a document forgery case.
Silwal had spotted in the premises of the Parliamentary building like other elected members of the federal parliament. He had reached the Parliament building to attend a joint Parliamentary Party meeting of the CPN-UML and CPN Maoist Centre.
Silwal is kept in the most wanted list of the Nepal police after the Supreme Court (SC), the apex court of the country, had ordered the government to initiate action against Silwal with the verdict that he had forged the performance appraisal reports submitted to the SC seeking his appointment as the Inspector General of Police (IGP).
