Kathmandu, Nepal, August 20, 2021: Nepal records 2,079 new cases of coronavirus infection cases from across the country in the past 24 hours on Friday. With the addition, nationwide infection tally has advanced to 744,307.
Meanwhile, 2,244 people, who had infected earlier with the virus, have been discharged after getting recovered in the past 24 hours. With the addition, nationwide recovery tally has advanced to 693,543.
Likewise, 26 more fatalities related to the coronavirus infections have been recorded in the past 24 hours. With the addition, nationwide recovery tally has advanced to 10,455.
According to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), 17,654 total tests were conducted in the last 24 hours, of the total new tests, 10,530 were PCR tests while 7,124 were antigen tests.
