Kathmandu, Nepal, February 28, 2021: Nepal reported only 78 new cases of coronavirus infection from across the country on Sunday. 

This also indicates that coronavirus infection rate has gradually been decreasing in recent days in Nepal.  

With the newly recorded cases, the nationwide infection tally has advanced to 274,143. 

According to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), of the newly infected cases, 30 are females while 48 are males.

Likewise, 82 people, who were earlier infected with the virus, have been discharged after overcoming the infection.  

With the addition, total recovery tally of the country has advanced to 270,407 that equals to 98.6 percent.

There are currently 962 active cases across the country. Of them only 68 individuals are staying in various quarantine facilities.
