Biratnagar, Nepal: The Nepali Congress (NC) and the CPNUML have share the mayoral and deputy mayoral posts respectively in Urlabari Municipality in the Morang district.
Nepali Congress candidate Khadga Bahadur Phago has been elected with 11, 632 votes in the post of mayor. His closest rival of the CPN-UML’s candidate Bhupal Jimi got just 8, 542 votes.
Similarly, UML deputy mayoral candidate Laxmi Devi Bhandari has been elected as deputy mayor with 9, 539 votes. Her closest rival of Nepali Congress’s Sita Karki got 9280 votes.
