Kathmandu, Nepal, December 18, 2020: The main opposition Nepali Congress has demanded to withdraw the Constitutional Council related ordinance as early as possible.
A meeting of the Nepali Congress Parliamentary Party Working Committee held on Friday made the decision even terming that the government's decision as undemocratic.
The meeting also demanded to call a parliament session as soon as possible.
The government had on December 15 issued the ordinance related to the first amendment to the Constitutional Council (Functions, Duties and Rights and Responsibilities, and Work Procedure) Act, 2077 BS.
